Having worked with busy families for nearly three decades, I know that can be hard on your schedule, create unnecessary pressure to purchase and lead to rash decision-making that makes you question your image selection.

With an established client list and consistent referrals, I usually book 3-4 weeks out and months in advance during my busy season. It’s always a good idea to get on my calendar early so you have plenty of date options and time to prep.

Connecting with you breathes life into my soul. 

I photograph all kinds of people and connection is super important to me. Whether it's the connection between the people in front of my camera, how you connect to your inner self during our shoot, the connection between you and I, or the connection you feel to your photos when you see them.

I have always been up for change, which is why I regularly attend workshops to grow and meet the evolving needs of my clients. I have a beautiful natural light studio in Belmar in Lakewood, CO, but shoot anywhere on location. Be prepared for a big hello and warm welcome when we meet in person.

Do you offer digitals?

What should I wear? 

I have a great what-to-wear guide for all of my clients. It will help you figure out what to wear from head to toe!

What time of day is best for family photos?

I love afternoon light! It’s warm and inviting, and everyone looks amazing. Also, the glow of sunset is so peaceful, and it’s my favorite time of day. I usually try to book all family sessions in the late afternoon.

Will you retouch my photos?

Yes and no! Yes, I will retouch distracting things in the background. Many of the beautiful locations I shoot in are popular, and we might have people or items in the background that we need to retouch. I will also retouch obvious blemishes or fly-away hair. I will not retouch the shape of your nose or body or add hair or glasses on your face ( yes, I’ve been asked that!). Trust that you are gorgeous the way you are, and your family wants to remember you “as is.” 

What if the weather doesn't work out?

I keep a close eye on the weather for outdoor sessions. But, we also know that Colorado weather can change on a dime! If it looks too cold, rainy, or windy, I will contact you to come up with a plan B. Usually, an alternate date can be set, and we will work together to make that call.

What if my child does not cooperate?

This is the most asked question. We all want our children to be on their best behavior, show their cutest smiles, etc. But that’s not always the case. I will engage your kiddos on their level. I ask them questions about themselves, kids light up when they can show us what they can do and what they know! I have games we can play, and keep things interesting, so they don’t feel forced to sit and smile. Sometimes some of the BEST images are the ones in between a smile!
