I help prompt you with easy pose ideas and draw out your confidence, so you’re comfortable in front of the camera. Your senior session is all about you! Once you book, I will send you a questionnaire to fill out so I can get to know you and offer some location options that might suit your style. 

I shoot fast-paced with lots of energy. I'll help you pose, tell you what to do with your hands, and guide you every step of the way. The sessions are always fun, and we end with a huge fist bump. It’s not uncommon for you to feel on top of the world as we wrap up.

Many photographers will schedule a sit down to reveal your photos and highlight all of your print options. Having worked with seniors for nearly three decades, I know that can be hard to schedule, create unnecessary pressure to purchase, and lead to rash decision-making that makes you question your image selection. 

I love providing extra support to my clients by linking your online gallery to a professional photo lab. I’m also an affiliate with Artifact Uprising, so you can get albums and products at a discount. Your options are endless. At the end of the day, you own the digital images you purchase and can print them however you like or purchase more.

With an established client list and consistent referrals, I usually book 3-4 weeks out and months in advance during my busy season. It’s always a good idea to get on my calendar early so you have plenty of date options and time to prep.

Connecting with you breathes life into my soul. 

I photograph all kinds of people and connection is super important to me. Whether it's the connection between the people in front of my camera, how you connect to your inner self during our shoot, the connection between you and I, or the connection you feel to your photos when you see them.

I have always been up for change, which is why I regularly attend workshops to grow and meet the evolving needs of my clients. I have a beautiful natural light studio in Belmar in Lakewood, CO, but shoot anywhere on location. Be prepared for a big hello and warm welcome when we meet in person.

Do you offer digitals?

What should I wear? 

I have a great what-to-wear guide for all of my clients. This will help you figure out what to wear from head to toe, and how to prepare to get the most out of your session!

What time of day is best for senior photos?

I love afternoon light! It's warm and inviting and everyone looks amazing. Also, the glow of sunset is so peaceful and it's my favorite time of day. I usually try to book all senior sessions in the late afternoon.  

Will you retouch my photos?

Yes, I will retouch distracting things in the background. Many of the beautiful locations I shoot in are popular and we might have people or things in the background that we need to retouch. I will also retouch obvious blemishes or fly-away hair. I will not retouch the shape of your face, nose, or body, or add hair or glasses to your face (yes, I’ve been asked that!). Trust that you are gorgeous the way you are!

What if the weather doesn't work out?

I keep a close eye on the weather for outdoor sessions. But we also know that Colorado weather can change on a dime! If it looks too cold, rainy, or windy, I will contact you to come up with a plan B. Usually, an alternate date can be set and we will work together to make that call.
